These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") explain how your personal information is collected, used, and protected when you complete identity verification through the Annature platform. These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("you" or "End User") and Annature Pty Ltd (ACN 642 595 015) ("Annature", "we", "our").
By completing an identity verification request through our platform, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms.
Purpose of the service
Annature provides a secure platform to help businesses and individuals verify your identity. We act on behalf of the business or individual ("Client") that requested your verification. Our service allows you to submit your personal information and identity documents (such as your driver’s licence, passport, or tax file number) so that the Client can confirm your identity.
Annature does not assess or decide your eligibility for any service. We do not act as your legal, financial, or professional advisor.
Consent and responsibilities
You must provide accurate and complete information. By using the service, you give us permission to collect, store, and share your personal information with:
- The business or individual that requested your verification
- Our subcontractors and technology partners who help deliver the service
- Identity verification providers used to validate your information
You must not submit false or fraudulent information, impersonate another person, or attempt to bypass or interfere with the verification process. We monitor for suspicious activity and may report unlawful behaviour to authorities.
If you use a VPN or anonymising service, your verification may be flagged or rejected. These technologies are commonly used to hide fraudulent activity and may result in your submission being blocked.
How your data is handled
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and other applicable laws. Your personal information is used only to perform the requested identity check and is not used for marketing purposes.
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with legal obligations. You may request a copy of the information held about you or ask for it to be deleted, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Our Privacy policy explains how we collect, store, and protect your information. You can read it at www.annature.com.au/privacy-policy.
Security and data protection
We apply strict security controls to protect your data. This includes encryption, access controls, secure storage, and regular monitoring. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. By using the platform, you acknowledge this risk and agree to use the service at your own discretion.
If we detect a data breach that may affect your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable laws.
Intellectual property
All rights in the Annature platform remain with us. You may only use the platform to complete your identity verification request.
Limits of our responsibility
We are not responsible for how the Client uses your verification results. Any decision made by the Client about your application or account is their responsibility.
We exclude liability for any loss, delay, or damage arising from the use of the service, except where we are required to provide a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. If that applies, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding any amount you paid.
Ending the service
These Terms apply until your verification request is completed. You may stop using the service at any time, but doing so may affect your ability to continue with the Client’s application or process.
Disputes and complaints
If you have a concern about how your personal information has been handled, please contact us at support@annature.com.au. We’ll aim to resolve the issue promptly and fairly. If we can’t resolve it, you may escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website. If you do not agree with updated terms, you may choose not to use the service.
