The onboarding and assistance were fantastic, especially at a time when I was overwhelmed with a million different product demos.

For context, I had been running my business as a startup and subsidiary of an established accounting firm.

I worked at CharterNet Advisers in Sydney for several years. When my wife got a job that moved us to Coffs Harbour in 2018, I approached the management team there about opening a new branch in Coffs. This resulted in the creation of CharterNet Coffs Coast, which ran as a separate entity under the CharterNet banner.

In July this year, my business amicably separated from the parent entity. However, I had to quickly replace all the subscriptions I would lose by parting ways with the Sydney team.

The problem

I had been using DocuSign for document signing, and while it worked fine for emails, at the time, it didn’t have text message capabilities. When I began setting up my own account, it became clear that the pricing for DocuSign and many of its competitors was opaque. Given that I was planning for a lean year and needed to implement several tech solutions, cost was a key consideration.

Another issue I hadn’t anticipated was that some clients aren’t very responsive to emails. The ability to send signing requests to their phones via text message quickly and easily has been a game-changer.

The solution

Annature’s transparent and reasonable pricing was a clear win. The onboarding and assistance were fantastic, especially when I was overwhelmed by numerous product demos and training sessions. Annature was by far the easiest platform to onboard.

I’ve also noticed a much quicker turnaround on documents sent via text message for signature. While I don’t use this feature often, for clients who are more reachable on their phones, it has allowed me to get what I need much more quickly.

The outcome

As a sole practitioner, my feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The transparent and reasonable pricing is a highlight, and the intuitive user interface is fantastic. Quick and easy branding when sending communications to clients is a winning feature, and the templates were easy to build and standardise for all my documents.
